Merrythought "Mango" Cheeky

Darling Merrythought Mango Cheeky is made from mohair. He has sewn in tags as well as Merrythought tag sewn to his footpad. Cheeky has bright black glass eyes which are evenly set in his face. I have found many Cheeky bears to have unevenly set eyes - I hand picked this Cheeky, making sure his eyes were even and looked right at you.
Mango originally retailed for $139.00 when purchased in 2004.

Good Condition-Georgene Averill Uncle Wiggily Longears-Cloth-18"

A terrific early cloth doll by Ggeorgene Averill - I believe from the 1930s. This is Uncle Wiggily Longears. He measures about 18" tall and is in good condition, considering his age. He is cloth with a molded mask face with darling features. His eyes appear to be shoe buttons as are the buttons on his vest. Uncle Wiggily is a long eared rabbit from the Uncle Wiggily children's stories. There is some moth damage to Uncle Wiggily's wool felt vest and some light surface soil to face and clothing. I have never tried to clean him - I'll leave that to his next owner. He is missing his top hat. Jan Foulke's Blue Book price guide gives a $550-650 value for Uncle Wiggly with clean/undamaged clothing.

Beary Best Friends-Jody Battaglia-Mary Queen of Westie Scotties LE 1/1


Darling 8” Westie Scottie, made by well know, and talented, artist Jody Battaglia of Beary Best Friends. Mary is made from a pale sand mohair with wool felt foot pads. She has brown glass eyes, hand embroidered face and is firmly stuffed. Mary has a tail which peeks out from under her dress.
She wears bloomer style panties, dress with attached slip and sash and a red velveteen cape and felt crown with “jewels.” Mary stands 8” tall and has both sewn in tag and paper hang tag. She is a one of a kind made per special request to Jody but we are starting the downsize process in anticipation of a move so I am offering her on this auction.
She has been displayed in a closed curio in my smoke free home.
