Teddy Bear Artist Invitational (TBAI) 2006
Gallery Piece The Historian by Elizabeth Kostova

TBAI 2006's theme is Salute to Sleuths Mystery Weekend. My gallery piece represents a scene in the novel, The Historian. Helen Rossi and Paul are seen in a library setting searching for clues to the location of Vlad Dracula's burial site. Both Helen and Paul measure 12" tall and are made from German mohair. Paul is made to be free standing. Helen has an armature in her legs allowing her to sit in the chair. Vlad Dracula's portrait is hung on the "wall," of the library, where black curtains may be drawn to hide his penetrating gaze.

The Historian Gallery piece was purchased by Susan Quinlan for The Doll & Teddy Bear Museum.

Teddy Bear Club International featured my creations in three publications. My love for creating both antique and modern style bears, hares and other furry creatures was featured in an issue of Teddy Bear& Friends.
