GUIDELINES FOR EMPLOYMENT CONSIDERATION

Thank you for your application for employment with Yadkin Valley Telephone Membership Corporation. We appreciate your interest.

In order for you to be considered for employment, your application must be filled out completely and legibly with all questions answered fully. This is true even if you include a resume with your application. Incomplete applications and resumes which do not include a completed application will be discarded.

Applications are considered active for a period of 90 days. After this length of time has passed, the application becomes inactive and cannot be considered for any job opening. Applications may be kept active by calling Yvette Tatum at 463-5088 before the end of this 90 day period and requesting the application be updated. If you allow your application to become inactive, you will have to fill out a new application in order to be considered for employment. There is no advantage in contacting us more often than once every 60 to 90 days unless some of the information on your application has changed. If this is the case, please call us and let us know.

Due to a very loyal and stable employee workforce, job openings at Yadkin Valley Telephone occur very rarely. As a rule, job interviews are conducted only at the time a job opening exists. Applicants are chosen for interview on a competitive basis determined by qualifications for the job opening.

Please be as specific as possible when responding to, "Position(s) Applied For" on the application. If you do not know exactly what job you want to be considered for, please indicate general areas of interest such as "office" work, "technical" jobs, "outside" work, etc. Please do not indicate "any" for this question since this tells us nothing at all about what kind of work you are qualified for or interested in doing.
